The work
of
Eduardo
Risso in
this
series
cannot
be
overstated.
I am
usually
not too
concerned
about
art as
long as
it tells
the
story
well,
but this
is
beyond
amazing.
The use
of
silhouette
and the
panel
compositions
are
especially
beautiful
and
effective.
I didn’t
expect a
crime
book to
necessarily
have
gorgeous
art, and
it might
not work
for
every
crime
story
but I
like it
in this.
The
stories
are also
very
good,
this
volume
containing
three
stories
that
all
center
on the
same
concept,
that
people
whose
lives
have
been
destroyed
are
given
100
untraceable
bullets
and
information
detailing
the
identities
and
specifics
of the
people
responsible.
They are
given
the
opportunity
to exact
revenge
for what
has
caused
their
lives to
not be
worth
living.
One is a
young
Latino
woman
whose
husband
and
child
were
killed
in a
drive
by,
another
is a
white
man who
was
framed
as a
child
pornographer,
and the
last is
a woman
whose
only son
became
retarded
because
of
dangerous
chemicals,
and the
tension
caused
her
husband
to
leave.
Each has
a very
different
response
to the
mysterious
Agent
Graves
who
offers
them the
chance
to
commit
murder,
and each
story is
interesting
in
itself,
and
there
are
tantalizing
clues
left as
to the
nature
of
Graves’
organization
and the
group
that
opposes
them,
but
nothing
is
really
answered.
This is
a
well-drawn
series
that
promises
a
wealth
of great
stories
and very
mysterious
overriding
plot. If
you like
good
crime
stories,
or just
a good
human
story,
check
this
out, you
will
not be
disappointed.
Do be
advised
that
this of
course
is for
mature
readers,
and
there is
a good
deal of
graphic
violence.
